“London Through Its City, Architecture, and People” This is the London edition, the first episode of ‘Walk the City Like an Architect,’ a series co-organized by Beyond Chapter, Around Trip, and A-Platform. Architect Jongmin Park introduces London from a variety of perspectives! Through this lecture, – feel London's atmosphere in ways photos can't capture, – learn about the architecture, art, and culture woven into the city, – and discover distinctive local travel tips! 📚 Program Having studied and lived here for about 10 years, and now seeing the city alongside my young child, I want to talk about today's London as an architect. The busy cityscape I encounter walking along the Thames every day, the buildings set within it, and London's museums, where past, present, and future overlap. In this lecture, I'll share these concrete scenes and the treasure-like spaces of London with you. • My London : Family | Architecture | Memories of the City • Architecture | Faces Met on the Street • City | Understanding Through Everyday Experience • London | A City Walked with a Child • Museums | A Panorama of Time • Q&A 🎤 About the Speaker Jongmin Park, UK Registered Architect Associate Partner, Foster and Partners Architect (RIBA, ARB) At 32, with four years of practice and a completed art museum behind me, I came to London in 2013 because I wanted to take on the challenge at least once. I started studying again later in life, found work again, and still can't let go of architecture and design. I also share my thoughts and reflections on cities, architecture, and art with people through writing. 🗓️ Event Details Date & time: Sat, Jul 12, 2025, 4:00–5:30 PM (KST) Format: online lecture Fee: 1 session ₩18,000 (₩5,000 off for previous Around Trip participants) 2 sessions ₩31,000 (₩5,000 off) All 4 sessions ₩62,000 (₩10,000 off) 🌍 Organizers Beyond Chapter Beyond Chapter is a platform where next-generation leaders building successful careers in architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design come together to share knowledge and experience and support one another's growth. Striving for a better world and drawing on expertise and creativity, we open up broader possibilities for the next generation. Through lectures, mentoring, and networking programs, we go beyond traditional boundaries to create new inspiration and connections. A-Platform A-Platform aims to resolve the information gap between the public and architects, serving as an architecture platform and point of contact that helps people understand and approach architecture more easily. Here, we expand the concept of architecture by connecting people and information, and envision new possibilities for architecture as culture by breaking down the boundary between producers and consumers. Around Trip Around Trip is an architecture-focused travel agency and a subsidiary of A-Platform, which runs Korea's largest architecture platform. Traveling with architects from around the world, we raise diverse questions about the spaces we live in today and aim to broaden understanding of and sensitivity to cities and architecture. * Lecture schedules and topics are subject to change. * The lecture link will be emailed 2 days before the seminar. * For refund requests, please contact beyond-chapter@beyond-chapter.com.
