Compared with the US and the UK, information about studying architecture in Japan and Switzerland is relatively hard to find. You can find the basics on school websites or through search, but it's hard to hear firsthand how people actually chose their schools, how they prepared their applications, what school life and studio culture are like, and how graduation leads to local jobs and practice. In BC Seminar Series 02, two mentors who studied and practiced architecture in Japan and Switzerland share their stories. Join Mentor Dakyung Lee, who graduated from the Chiba University graduate school and is now a first-class registered architect in Japan, and Mentor Gunho Lee, who studied at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio (AAM) and now works as a Project Architect in Switzerland. Going beyond simple school introductions, they'll talk from experience about how to choose a school, preparing applications, real school life and studio culture, and finding work and practicing architecture locally after graduation. The talks will be followed by a live Q&A.
