In this lecture, an architect dissects a project they were deeply involved in. Architecture students will gain a multidimensional understanding of how a building is designed, completed, and used, exploring a range of cases and key questions they can apply directly to their own design work.

The speaker shares real experience and insights gained from taking part in every stage of the project as an architect: a design concept rooted in site conditions and context, the user experience shaped by plan layout and circulation, the structural system, construction strategy, and more.

From the design philosophy behind material choices and finish details, to key issues that arose during construction, to feedback after the building opened,
the lecture will focus on practical topics that architecture students must consider in their design studios.

The lecture consists of a 1-hour-30-minute presentation followed by a 30-minute Q&A.
